LPHC holds a certificate of waiver from the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). This waiver allows LPHC to be recognized as a laboratory for performing Pregnancy tests in the State of North Carolina.

Urine pregnancy tests are performed on site and results are immediate.

We will begin offering an Ultrasound for our clents who qualify in April 2011

EWYL is an educational program on fetal development, prenatal care, and parenting. We now offer classes in Life Skills such as money management, grocery shopping, cooking, and more. Our clients “earn” points and can redeem them for maternity and baby supplies. Our clients can earn and redeem points until their youngest child reaches the age of two. The client meets regularly with the same client advocate and friendships are formed.

This educational program discusses the fact that God loves us and that is why He created boundaries for relationships. It exposes clients to the physical, emotional, and spiritual risks and consequences of being sexually active outside of marriage. It also teaches clients what character is, how it is created, and what role it plays in life. Incentives and/or rewards are offered with participation in this program.

Bible Studies are offered on a one-on-one weekly basis. We currently use materials from Gary Smalley (Homes of Honor), Max Lucado (Traveling Light), and Robert McGee (The Search for Significance). Clients are encouraged to read the assigned chapters in the books and also suggested bible readings. Study questions and discussions are also included in the studies. Clients are able to earn points similarly to the EWYL program.

We offer a Post Abortion Bible Study for our clients. We use the book Forgiven and Set Free by Linda Cochrane. The Character of God, Relief and Denial, Anger, the Need to Forgive, Depression, and Acceptance are some of the topics covered. This bible study is facilitated by trained peer counselors.
